Rainy Saturday

So this is the perfect day for me. It's a Saturday and it's raining. Ellie and I are spending the day together. I am cooking and baking up a storm (in case there is one) and she is sleeping in between the kitchen and the dining room. I think she likes it there because she is close to the oven, so she is warm and it also allows her first dibs on anything that falls to the floor. (she thinks she has competition). So far...chili, spaghetti sauce and meatballs and I wil be baking some bread soon I think. Molly is at work. We are going to have a nice dinner together tonight. We haven't had much time together lately and I think we are both starting to feel the clock ticking down to when she has to head back to Florida. It's all good I know, but I will be glad if she is able to transfer to DC next year. Nice to have everyone within a days driving distance.

Anyway...Molly got on my case the other day about updating my page here, hence the blathering.

Matt...good to talk to you this morning. Nice to hear hope in your voice again. It's exactly what I prayed for ...that you would be encouraged and  that you would find "water" in the midst of the desert you found yourself in. God is good...all the time, even when it feels like he has left us alone for a bit. Hope you enjoy your weekend at Kelly's folks. Give her a hug for me.

Meg...I am guessing  that you are settling into your new job. I am so proud of you. It's nice that people are recognizing your talent and your mad "techie" skills. You will love this...I am thinking of getting a new computer, if I can swing a loan. So maybe the next time you come to Erie, we can talk about all the detials. I am pretty computer illiterate and have no clue about the things that bite and the Ram and things that drive hard.

so....

hope this finds all of you well and that you always remember how much I love you and how proud of I am of my kids.

TGIF

I don't think I have ever looked forward to Friday more....

Really tough day at work..mostly just busy, but so very glad the day is over. I plan on vegging all weekend. I finished West Wing...sigh.. It was amazing and now I need Season 7. I will say this: I am looking forward to next weekend.Everyone will be home, including my brother Jeff and his one daughter Michelle. I am sure we will have our amazing family dinners and tons of fun together. It seems like forever since we had a Pizza Hut Night! Grammy is planning a huge picnic on Saturday so that should be a great get together.

Matt; be careful when you travel this weekend

Meg:...bet not everyone knows that you will Harvey the Rabbit this weekend...but they do now! Do him proud!

Molly: little by little...bit by bit. Take it one day at a time. At least you are making strides in the right direction. Take care of yourself.

Matt & Meg: any idea what time you will be rolling in on Friday? And Matt...long will you be staying?

all of you...Love you lots.
